1925/2015 90 years of The Bell of Peace (Maria Dolens) in Rovereto (Italy)
The event exhorts artists to represent peace in unconventional ways, whether talking about the concept of peace,
dialogue and non-violence in general, or quoting famous or common people, both on internationally known and unknown events that characterized our century,
or anything the artists would bring to the attention of the public on this topic through any artistic form.
An event, then, that recounts the facts, the actions and the persons that, from 1925 to 2015, have left fundamental testimonies of peace.
Gandhi, Martin Luther King, the Dalai Lama, Johan Galtung, Jane Addams, Aung San Suu Kyi, John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez only to mention the most famous,
and so many other great people have turned their life into a manifest of the importance of dialogue and sharing.
During the twentieth century and in the early years of the new century, many violent events have led to as many and even more initiatives dedicated to peace which have left their mark,
such as the fall of the Berlin Wall, Woodstock, the abolition of apartheid, the non-violent revolutions and many other events less famous at a media level, that, however,
help and promote each day the process of pacification.
2015 opened with the voice of Maria Dolens worldwide broadcast, on January 1st.
Its tolls in fact, closed the Angelus of Pope Bergoglio, on the 48th World Day for Peace.
The Pope invited the devotees to hear the sound of the Peace Bell through large screens placed in St. Peter’s Square
in the TV programs of the Rai (Italian State Broadcaster) and the Vatican Television
Center.
Pope Francis, reiterated in his speech that “Peace is always possible”.

1925/2015 La Campana dei Caduti (Maria Dolens) di Rovereto (TN) compie 90 anni
L’evento invita gli artisti a rappresentare la pace secondo schemi non convenzionali,
sia parlando del concetto di pace, di dialogo e di non violenza in generale che citando personaggi famosi o meno,
sia degli eventi noti e meno noti a livello internazionale che hanno caratterizzato il nostro secolo,
ovvero tutto ciò che gli artisti vorranno portare all’attenzione del pubblico su questo argomento attraverso qualsiasi forma artistica.
Un evento quindi che racconta gli eventi, le azioni e i personaggi che dal 1925 al 2015 hanno lasciato testimonianze fondamentali di pace.

solo per citare i più famosi, e tante altre grandi persone hanno fatto della loro vita un manifesto dedicato all’importanza del dialogo e della condivisione.
Nel corso del novecento e in questi primi anni del nuovo secolo i tanti episodi violenti hanno portato altrettante e più iniziative dedicate alla pace che hanno lasciato il segno,
come la caduta del muro di Berlino, Woodstock, l’abolizione dell’apartheid, le rivoluzioni non violente e tantissimi eventi meno conosciuti a livello mediatico,
che tuttavia ogni giorno aiutano e favoriscono il processo di pacificazione.
Il 2015 si è aperto con la voce di Maria Dolens in mondovisione, il 1° gennaio. Sono stati infatti i suoi rintocchi a chiudere l’Angelus di Papa Bergoglio, nella 48° Giornata Mondiale della Pace.
Il Pontefice ha invitato i fedeli ad ascoltare il suono della Campana della Pace attraverso i maxi schermi posti in piazza San Pietro e i collegamenti televisivi della Rai e del Centro Televisivo Vaticano.
Papa Francesco, ha ribadito nel suo discorso che “La pace è sempre possibile”.
